A new service introduced by BNC at the beginning
of 1994 gives you an opportunity to make money from
most of the payphones in town. The owner of the side
that a local telephone company puts its payphone on
normally gets a commission from the local phone company
on the local calls made from that phone. But since
local phone companies no longer offer long distance
services, the property owner receives nothing on that
business. The site owner has the right to designate
the long distance carrier for the operator service
calls (credit card, collect, and third-number billing),
but most of them don't know it and receive nothing from
the long distance carriers. The new BNC payphone
service lets you sign up the property owner for BNC,
and he will receive a commission on the long distance
calls and a bonus of 20 minutes per month in free long
distance calls. As the BNC representative, you will
then receive a permanent commission on the long
distance calls made from that payphone.
