Your Opt-In list Concept

The first thing you should think about when building a mailing list is the main concept. In other words what are you going to offer?

You can start your own opt-in list as an e-zine or a mini-course, Those are the most recommended strategies. So here are the complete details...

Mini-Course

If you are going to offer a mini-course, things will be much easier. You just have to figure out a topic where your mini-course will be about. Then start sending it out to your reader in a series of emails.

So actually you will do all the work once, and all new subscribers will get the same mini-course.

Note: Always in your last message of your mini-course tell your readers what to expect after that. This will reduce the number of un-subscribers at the end of your course. Make sure to keep sending them valuable stuff...

Usually they take the course and run a way. What will make them stay in your list any more? That's why you've got to tell them that they will still receive updates and valuable stuff from you.

Here is an example:

Dear Friend,

This is me again, That was the end of the Mini-Course "Your Course Title Here" I hope you found it useful. I will highly appreciate it if you can send me your feedback at info@bizpioneer.com

If you decided to publish an ezine then prepare your self for heaps of work to do and a lot of creative aspects. But it's worth it here is why:

In a newsletter you will always keep sending your subscribers new and fresh contents and information. You will send out your newsletter on regular basis which will definitely increase your creditability.

Original contents...

You should always send your list original contents, Don't just put a couple of articles and send out your newsletter it won't work this way.

Adding original contents is a very simple task. I am sure you always find and try dozens of new programs and tools every day. Then you test it and find out weather it's working or not. Well, just tell your subscribers about your experience send them your reviews and Ad results.

It should look like the following:

"Program Name Here"

Price: $9.97 a week
Sales: 13
Commission per sale: $5 weekly
Total potential profit: $65 per week
Conversion: 1 out 32 visitors signed up

"State here if you recommend it or not and tell your subscribers why"

Tell them about what works and what doesn't. Keep things simple and be honest.

Also you should right your own articles and share with your subscribers your marketing techniques and strategies.

Let you article be short, sharp and to the point. Writing your own articles will give you a lot of free publicity and creditability too. We will talk about that in details in the next few sections.

Get new and fresh contents...

  • In every issue ask your subscribers if they need any specific information or if they have any questions this is a very good way to know what kind of information they really need.
  • Visit public marketing forums and see what are the main topics being discussed. Analyze them, add your opinion then send out your review.
  • Don't send out tons of info and articles just send out quality and valuable contents. Make sure it will not take your readers more than 10 minuets to read your ezine

Remember, you should never ignore the Editorial section, you should always add your personal touch and original contents even if it's just a few words from you about your experience. Share with your subscribers what works and what doesn't.
