Does your website DO things?

No, it's not a silly question. ;-)

When you first build a webpage, it just sits there.

Perhaps you have text.

Perhaps you have an image or two.

...but you won't retain many visitors until they can
DO something.

...adding a Forum will encourage discussions

...adding an Associate Program will increase sales

...adding a "mail to" feature will boost feedback

You get the idea.

The features of a website that DO something are nearly
always performed by scripts...usually perl scripts.

Installing scripts on your server is very easy, when
you know what you're doing....fortunately, learning
how to install scripts is easy too.

It's an excellent site.

When I had my associate program re-worked, it was
a programmer who made and configured all the scripts.

I just pay the man and then benefit from his excellent
work for years to come!

I highly recommend adding different scripts to your
website...either pre-written ones (many of which are
free) or custom written ones. They're usually a lot
cheaper than you think!
